penncrest valesky trans speaker Per trans political candidate, PENNCREST School Board denies filing - Bollyinside

PENNCREST School Board denies presentation by trans political candidate (Meadville Tribune) The presentation was recommended by the Saegertown Pride Alliance (SPA), an LGBTQ+ school club. According to the resource list, Czech’s presentation was going to be on behalf of Run for Something, an organization which, according to its website, supports “young, diverse progressives” in down-ballot, or low-profile, races. Board member David Valesky raised his opposition to Czech’s inclusion on the list. While Valesky started out his concerns by bringing up that Czech is a currently campaigning candidate rather than an existing office holder, he also misgendered Czech during his comments.

North East School Board hit with anti-mask lawsuit (Erie Times-News) "Among the claims in the North East case is that requiring quarantines for students and staff infected with COVID-19, as part of the North East School District's mask policy, was tantamount to solitary confinement and a violation of the Eighth Amendment right against cruel and unusual punishment."
Ringling Bros Circus return to Erie reportedly will not have animal acts. The last few years they appeared they were greeted with protests against well-documented mistreatment of elephant performers.

Police investigating after complainant alleges Marineland held illegal dolphin shows during opening weekend (Niagara Falls Review) "An amendment to the Criminal Code passed in 2019 made it an offence for dolphins and whales to perform for entertainment purposes, which is part of the federal government’s anti-captivity legislation." Recently, Marineland banned lawyer, filmmaker, scientist, activists from entering park (CTV)
